| Name: Zuka Randjamee Gender: Male Age: 27 in human years. Height: 2.4m Personality: Quiet, cunning Rank: Field Marshall Background: Slim and short of stature as a boy, most of his peers expected Zuka to be a part of a non-warrior occupation. He had the makings of a geek. He was smart, enjoyed staying at home playing his games rather than roughhousing with his friends and was not very athletic. Most commented on how frail and short he was. However, when he reached the age of fourteen, a great change took place. Zuka grew at an amazing rate in a few short months, he was taller than both of his parents. He began to roughhouse with his peers and quickly won renown as the best wrestler among them.
Six years later, finds Zuka as a special operations elite, leading his squad in a holy crusade against the humans. Being a veteran of many battles and loved by the rank and file troops, Zuka's popularity grew to the point that his superiors considered him a threat to their positions. As it happened, one day after an intense firefight with human forces, Zuka's superiors summoned him to their private quarters where they ambushed him. Through a combination of luck, skill and the timely intervention of the rest of his squad, Zuka escaped with only a scar marring his left eye. With a few dead zealots, a general and a field marshall on their hands, the prophets decided in their infinite wisdom, to give a position of power to Zuka and his squad for their troubles. After this incident, although his eye was repaired, Zuka chose to wear the scar as a token of battle and the first real wound he had received.
RP Sample: The steady drip, drip of water filled Zuka's ears. He and his two other squad mates had infiltrated a human freighter without detection. Now, they were sitting in one of its water tanks no doubt it was being take to a human outpost. Weeks of careful planning and many long hours of reconnaissance led to the hatching of this scheme. Every two weeks, a human freighter, laden with supplies is sent to a planet on the very fringes of human territory. A quick scan of the planet showed that most of its surface is covered by sandy desert. Zuka reasoned that to inhabit the place would be too costly as hardly anything grew there. It was with surprise then, that Zuka discovered there were humans on the planet. A few low orbit passes in a covenant stealth ship revealed that the inhabitants were all military personnel. There were a few thousand soldiers and officers in total. Zuka reasoned that to sustain the humans, provisions must be sent to them on a regular basis. He also guessed that at least some high ranking military officials are present on the planet to control the multitude of soldiers. However, Zuka's sights were set on obtaining one of the humans' navigation cores or better yet one of their A.Is. A plan was quickly drawn up and presented to the prophets who quickly approved.
A sudden shift in movement snapped Zuka out of his reverie. It could mean only one thing; the freighter was landing. "Prepare yourself", Zuka barked to his companions. With a rustling of feet and the clinking of metal, the two other elites were on their feet, their weapons armed and ready to be fired. As the freighter ground to a halt, the three elites inconspicuously climbed out of the water tank and activated their camouflage. The first time Zuka employed his camouflage, he found it disorienting not being able to see his hands and feet. As a result, he often stumbled and knocked into things including his superiors. However, those days were long past and now, Zuka is extremely proficient in the art of being invisible. Padding on silent feet, the squad made their way out of the freighter and into the harsh sun outside. The humans were busy unloading their cargo and were totally oblivious to the presence of the elites. Although he longed to kill them, Zuka's orders were to minimize contact lest they were discovered. So, creeping past the humans, the trio made their way into the metallic structures of the human base.
A full two hours had passed since Zuka and his companions had entered the human base and he was beginning to feel uncomfortable. The air was still and everything was quiet; maybe a bit too quiet. Furthermore, the trio had strangely not run into any humans except for the ones unloading the freighter. Just as he was beginning to think they were in the wrong building, Zuka's sensitive ears picked up human voices up ahead. Emboldened and filled with hope, Zuka quickened his pace, plodding along the corridor as quickly as he could while maintaining his stealth. The corridor they were traveling along soon opened up into a vast room lit by cold fluorescent lights. Stopping just beyond one of four doorways that yielded access into the room, Zuka observed the scene before him. Seven humans sat around a table discussing in their alien voices some sort of plan. Zuka's translation unit could only translate a few garbled words that didn't make sense. This wasn't a problem for Zuka, he was ordered to kill the humans not try to decipher their plots. Sweeping his eyes across the room, Zuka counted twenty other humans all heavily armed with their crude rifles and primitive shotguns. Zuka chuckled to himself this would be easy. "Throw in your grenades on my mark", he instructed his underlings. "Mark". Burning a brilliant blue, the hissing plasma grenades flew into the room right onto the table in the midst of the humans. In one deft movement, Zuka stepped into the room, assassinating the two humans closet to him with his energy daggers and opened fire with his needle rifle. His teammates followed suit and soon the room was filled with crisscrossing needles and the screams of dying humans. Grinning with savage delight, Zuka fired at the faces of a group of dumbstruck humans. They dropped without a cry. Wheeling about, Zuka faced another pair of humans who had managed to orient themselves and return fire. Two needles to the chest finished one off while a plasma bolt from one his allies finished off the other. Of course by now, the three plasma grenades had gone off and slaughtered the seven humans sitting around the table. A few more needles and a well placed grenade finished off the remaining enemies.
P.S This isn't the Zuka in the Halo book I just kind of liked the name.
